2. Product

THE 8 — Standard Edition: game cartridge for the Sega Mega Drive / Genesis console (PAL and NTSC), crystal box with cover, manual and numbered certificate of authenticity. Limited run of 270 copies, assembled by hand. The console is not included. Photos and videos are for illustration only.

3. Pre-order

Orders placed before release are pre-orders, paid in full when ordering. Shipping is planned for late December 2026 and will take place no later than January 31, 2027. Otherwise you may cancel your order and receive a full refund (article L216-6 of the French Consumer Code).

4. Prices

Prices are in euros, all taxes included. VAT not applicable, article 293 B of the French Tax Code. Shipping costs are shown before payment, depending on the destination country.

Customs. For deliveries outside the European Union, any import duties, taxes and clearance fees are paid by the recipient, except for the United States, where they are included in the shipping price. For French overseas territories, local taxes (octroi de mer) are paid by the recipient.

5. Order and payment

The order is confirmed after card payment via Stripe (secure payment). A receipt is sent by e-mail. Limited to 5 copies per person. If a copy could not be delivered (sold out), you would be fully refunded within 14 days.

6. Shipping

Shipped by Colissimo (La Poste) with tracking, to the address given at payment. Delivery times are estimates. Please check your parcel on delivery and report any problem to the carrier and to us within 3 days. A wrong or incomplete address leading to a return may incur new shipping costs.

7. Right of withdrawal

You have 14 days from receipt of the product to withdraw, without giving any reason (article L221-18 of the French Consumer Code). Notify us by e-mail, then return the complete product within 14 days; return costs are paid by you. The refund, including the original standard shipping cost, is made within 14 days of receiving the return.

Exception — unsealed product. THE 8 is software on a cartridge. Under article L221-28, 9° of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply to computer software that has been unsealed by the consumer after delivery. The box is delivered closed with a seal: once the seal is removed, the product can no longer be returned under the right of withdrawal (legal warranties still apply).

8. Legal warranties

You benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity (articles L217-3 to L217-20 of the French Consumer Code) for 2 years from delivery: in case of a defect you can have the product repaired or replaced, or failing that obtain a price reduction or a refund, free of charge. You also benefit from the guarantee against hidden defects (articles 1641 to 1649 of the French Civil Code). Contact us by e-mail for any claim.

9. Liability

The seller is not liable for damage caused by improper use of the product (faulty console, incompatible adapter or hardware).

11. Mediation and disputes

In case of dispute, please contact us first by e-mail to find an amicable solution. Under article L612-1 of the French Consumer Code, you may use a consumer mediator free of charge: mediator being appointed (details will be listed here). These terms are governed by French law.
