FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Which console is THE 8 for?
The SEGA Genesis, known as the Mega Drive outside North America: Sega's 16-bit console. The game runs on original hardware, on a real cartridge.

What kind of game is THE 8?
A 90s-style 1-on-1 fighting game: 8 gangs, 8 champions, special moves and an EXECUTED finisher for every character.
Will the cartridge work on my console?
Yes. THE 8 has been tested on real hardware in PAL (Europe), NTSC-US (Genesis) and NTSC-J (Japan), at both 50 Hz and 60 Hz. The cartridge is region-free: it works whatever the region of your console.
Is there a demo?
Yes, the public demo has been free to download since October 2026: Nikita and Butcher, 3 stages, Arcade mode, the start of Story mode, CHAOS mode (4 challenges with insane rules), 2-player versus, executions and a bonus stage. Play it online right on the site, or download it for an emulator or a flash cart.
